Hiring Managers Underestimate
Too many hiring managers underestimate the cost of vacancies.
A key sales territory stays open for 60 days.
That’s two months of lost relationships, missed deals, and delayed momentum.
Even worse, when someone makes the wrong hire in haste, the clock resets all over again.
Strong recruiting isn’t about speed — it’s about the right speed.
That’s where a great recruiting partner earns its value.
Best Candidates Interview You
Remember, the best candidates are also interviewing you, just like you interview them.
In this market, credibility and responsiveness are key.
A clear process matters more than you might realize.
A good candidate experience reflects your brand.
It can determine whether someone accepts or declines your offer.
If you haven’t done any self-reflection on your process, now is the time to iron out any kinks before it bites you!
Helped Growing Auto Finance
We recently helped a growing auto finance company fill several regional sales roles across multiple states.
The common thread among the candidates who succeeded?
They knew how to build trust-based dealer relationships, not just “sell programs.”
That’s a theme I’ve seen for decades — the most successful field reps in this space sell solutions, not rate sheets.
I’ve said it for years: if a rep just sells rates and ignores the value of his solutions, he’ll need new customers when rates change!
“What Did You Put Into It?”

“What did you put into it?”
Yesterday, I had the chance to go to the semi-annual business networking breakfast at Central Catholic HS, my alma mater.
I have been to their prior networking breakfasts, and for a new-ish event, they’ve all been great.
This one was special.
The speaker was Deacon Steve Javie.
Steve was an NBA referee for 25 years. He officiated many finals during that time.
He worked with all the greats- MJ, Magic, Bird, Dr J, Kobe, Lebron…
After his 25 years in the NBA, he sought a next chapter in life and answered God’s call to serve.
After 7 years in the seminary, he was ordained.
Now, he serves the parishioners of St. Andrew’s Church in Newtown, PA.
Steve shares how he met his wife and how his life changed.
On their second date, he took his “very Catholic” wife to Mass on a Sunday, followed by brunch.
Having long estranged himself from his faith, he focused more on the brunch part of the plan during mass.
When walking after Mass, his now-wife told him how much the sermon spoke to her.
He responded, “It didn’t do much for me.”
Steve said the next 6 words changed his life.
Her response: “What did you put into it?”
Did you ask God for something?
Did you pray for anyone?
Did you thank God for the blessings you have?
Steve’s journey in Christ reignited his spirit.
It helped him face tough times, like fighting an FBI indictment (he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers).
This path led to a much more fulfilling life.
I’m super grateful I was there to hear his message.
If anyone ever had the opportunity to hear this man speak—GO!
