40 year Reunion

Seriously?

My class from Central Catholic High School had our 40th reunion this weekend.

I had an amazing time catching up with friends—some I see often, and others I hadn’t seen in…40 years?!!

We toured our alma mater.

We got together for golf.

The reunion itself was perfect in every way.

What stood out to me, amid all the fun and friendship, was when a classmate approached me.

He said, “Man, thank you for what you do for our community. You really make a difference in people’s lives.”

I was blown away.

And frankly, I’m not even sure what he was specifically referencing.

We all impact others’ lives, even if we don’t notice it.

It happens whether we try or not.

The differences we create with our actions—and my friend’s kind words—last long after they happen.

Giving back to our community is a great reward.

If you can’t contribute, appreciating what others do can really help everyone!

Hidden Cost of a Bad Hire

The Hidden Cost of a “Bad Hire”

In automotive finance and the aftermarket, the cost of a bad hire isn’t just the salary.

It’s lost deals, wasted training, and the disruption of having to start the process all over again.

The best hires aren’t just qualified.

They also fit the company’s culture, meet its expectations, and match its pace.

That alignment is what protects performance and retention.

It’s why my approach to recruiting goes deeper than matching résumés to job descriptions.

I make sure leaders get the right fit the first time.

Curious how other companies are reducing the risk of a bad hire?

Let’s talk.

Recruiting Beyond the Résumé

Recruiting Beyond the Résumé

Résumés tell a story, but they don’t tell the whole story.

In dealership, lending, and aftermarket roles, what truly matters often isn’t written down.

It’s about resilience, building relationships, and how someone performs under pressure.

That’s why I don’t stop at résumés.

I take time to learn about the person behind the results.

I want to know what drives them and how they achieved success in similar settings.

THIS is what makes these hires most successful!

The goal isn’t just to find someone who can do the job—it’s to find someone who will grow with the job.

If that resonates, let’s have a conversation.
